La Petite Reine, a successful delivery company founded in 2001, is using electrically assisted tricycles for its deliveries. Each tricycle has a payload capacity of 180 kg (400 pounds) with some designed to carry refrigerated goods. The above cargo cycle is used for deliveries to drug stores (pharmacies). Several cities in Western Europe, notably in France (Paris, Lyon, Bordeaux), are serviced. Among the advantages of such a vehicle are the capacity to easily circulate and park in high density areas. In 2011, La Petite Reine was acquired by the large urban distributor Star’s Service.
